The new Honda Civic Type-R will be the first model in Europe to highlight the company's brand-hitting VTEC turbo motor. It'll come as a 2.0-liter, direct injection, four-cylinder unit that'll make no less than 280bhp or more. However, no performance specs have been released yet, yet Honda guarantees the Civic Type R will be speedier than any Type or auto dispatched previously, including the NSX Type R (known as the NSX-R) sold solely in Japan the early '90s.
